Too much stress


The way I see it, some stress is good!

In times of danger, the pre-historic ‘flight or fight’ impulse is still hardwired into the human psyche and is there for our benefit.

In modern times, we see – or read about – levels of stress that are wholly unacceptable and frequently life-threatening.

No one should suffer from excessive stress – and no one needs to.

I believe that ‘the mind is a self-curing mechanism.’

What that means in practice is that, under hypnosis, you become more willing to ‘see things differently’ – you can be encouraged to acknowledge situations at their right size, neither less of a problem than they really are, nor more of a problem than they really are.
